Produced from high quality polypropylene fibres, Aritex (ART) non-woven geotextiles are needle-punched to form a strong fabric that retains its dimensional stability and is resistant to damage from construction stresses. Aritex non-woven geotextiles are available in varying strengths and thicknesses to ensure appropriate material selection for your project.

Separation

Non-woven geotextile can be used to separate two layers of material with different grain size, making these materials retain its mechanical properties under pressure, especially pressure from large moving vehicles.

Reinforcement

Because of its high tensile strength, non-woven geotextile can be used to transmit a certain tensile strength into soil for soil reinforcement or putting soil in geotextile tube.

Protection

Beside its mechanical strength such as tensile strength, high puncture resistance,… non-woven geotextile also has high sustainability (salt water resistance) and quick drainage. Therefore, it can be associated with other materials such as gabion, dry rip-rap stone, concrete… to make a corrosion resistant layer for dyke, embankment, coastal and bridge pier.

Filtration and drainage

Non-woven geotextile plays the role as a filtering layer between two materials layer with different permeability and grain size. The function of filtering layer is to avoid corrosion from smoother grained materials layer toward the remaining material layer. Also, with permeability under right angle, non-woven geotextile can also be used for making underground ditch. Flows in the ground will focus to ditch equipped with non-woven geotextile and go to water reservoir by pipeline.
