ACEL Geocell is an advanced geosynthetic solution widely applied accross the globe. Formed by thermally welding HDPE strips into a strong honeycomb structure, the geocell – once filled with sand, soil, gravel, or other infill – creates a stable layer ideal for slope reinforcement, road base stabilization, and surface protection.
REINFORCEMENT
Enhanced Load-Bearing Capacity: Once filled and anchored, ACEL Geocell distributes loads evenly, reducing pressure on weak subgrades.
Foundation Stabilization: The honeycomb structure confines the infill material, limiting lateral displacement and improving stability, especially on slopes and soft ground.
Minimized Differential Settlement: By evenly distributing stress and restricting movement, the geocell helps prevent localized settlement and extends the lifespan of infrastructure.
PROTECTION
Surface Erosion Control: In slopes, channels, or riverbanks, the geocell secures the surface layer (soil, vegetation, or stone) and prevents washout by rainfall or water flow.
Stabilization of Cover Materials: Keeps soil or stone infill in place during heavy rain, strong winds, or runoff.
Reduced Surface Water Velocity: The cellular structure slows down water flow, reducing shear stress and erosion risk.
Runoff and Washout Prevention: Especially effective in areas with heavy rainfall, steep gradients, or coastal zones.
