In recent years, geomembranes (geotextiles) have quickly become an essential product in aquaculture. Vietnam Geotextile Joint Stock Company (ARITEX) is one of the leading suppliers of geotextiles for aquaculture farmers nationwide. Mrs. Nguyễn Linh, Deputy Director of the Company, shared with Con Tôm Specialty Magazine key highlights of ARITEX’s recent operations.
Madam, why is ARITEX regarded as one of the leading professional manufacturers and traders of geotextile products in Vietnam?
In fact, to earn this reputation, we have gone through a long journey of development, dedication, and perseverance. Our predecessor was Thi Son Production and Construction Co., Ltd., established in 2002. In the early years, we specialized in manufacturing and supplying geotextiles for the transportation, irrigation, and environmental sectors, which were well received and highly rated by the market.
At the end of 2008, in line with expanding our nonwoven fabric factory and increasing production capacity to 30 million square meters per year, we established Vietnam Geotextile Co., Ltd. Simultaneously, we expanded our operations with a new branch in the South and constructed two manufacturing plants in Long An and Ha Nam. We also broadened our market reach into new industries, including aquaculture.
With a philosophy that prioritizes quality, we have applied quality management systems and environmental management systems across our factories, achieving ISO9001 certification and other relevant accreditations. We have also implemented various customer care programs, product warranties, price support policies for small-scale producers, the campaign “One Brand – A Million Trusts,” and continuous production improvement initiatives. As you may know, aquaculture is a highly promising industry with over 1 million hectares dedicated to aquaculture and hundreds of thousands of hectares of salt fields. In the context of environmental degradation, climate change, and the adoption of advanced farming technologies (such as high-tech farming, two-stage farming, and industrial farming), our geomembrane products have become highly effective in:
